I am excited to announce that, on March 1, 2003, we launched our own company - Construction Bonds, Inc.

Our objective with Construction Bonds, Inc. is to build relationships with customers and bond underwriters based on the trust required to handle confidential financial information.

My background is in construction insurance. I have provided bonds and insurance coverage for construction firms since 1975, just leaving a 15-year old agency that I helped found and build to over $7,500,000 annual premiums. I became proficient in the surety business and exposed to many corporate styles through working at small and large insurance brokers and insurance/bond companies beginning in 1965. To optimize protection to our customers, I research new bond procedures, regulations, products and approaches through annual continuing education. I am affiliated with several construction and insurance associations, and a designated Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). I am a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

My partner, Alice Thomas, excels in organization and procedures, with a degree in engineering. Her background includes managing $3,000,000 (annual) projects for a US Navy contractor, developing the Policies and Procedures Manual for that company, writing technical and cost proposals to defense agencies and, now, applications for grants to a non-profit agency. These skills will ensure that our customers' information is handled confidentially and that results are accurate and timely.
